Happy New Year to all our customer new and old!
We've had a lovely winter break with our families and are ready and raring to go, reopening on Wednesday 18th January.
You may notice our team is much smaller than before Christmas, we have made the difficult decision to restructure; reducing our wholesale offering and focusing more on our own shop window. This means we have stopped supplying some of our long standing stockists outside of Reading and have reduced our staffing levels in line with the lower number of items required each day.
Hopefully this will ensure Nathan and I (Sophie) can continue running the business, doing what we love, feeding our community, innovating great tasting pastries and breads, as well as having a better work/life balance.
We have a lot of changes and new ideas to come in the next few months, we can't talk about all of them just yet … but here are some of the most important ones we're excited to share!
1. New opening times
By popular demand, we will now be open from 09.00 - 14.00 everyday Wednesday to Saturday! This means you have more opportunity to get your hands on your favourite bakes, bread and sandwiches and you can even pre order for each day to avoid disappointment! Please note - you need to complete separate orders for each day you wish to collect.
2. Sandwiches are now available to pre order online!
Lots of you asked at the window if there was a way you could reserve your sandwich and pick up at lunch time. Well, now there is! Simply place your order before 09.00 on the day and pick up between 09.00 and 14.00. You can also order up to 14 days in advance if you're really into planning ahead!
3. Our meal deal is now available every week day!
Order ANY sandwich and get ANY pastry half price! Simple and tasty!
4. Items are now listed individually on our website...
...with flavours/variations/vegan alternative listed on the drop down menu. This means you can order exactly the number of pastries you need.
There's lots more to come, including the reintroduction of our pizza's and breakfast rolls, seasonal specials and the beginning of our dough club... keep an eye out in early Feb for the next update!
